Southeast Missouri State’s Intense, Data-Driven Safety with Season-High Tackles and Farm-Forged Grit
David Coley, the Southeast Missouri State Redhawks safety (S), delivered a season-high two tackles against Tennessee Tech on November 9, 2024, and posted three tackles (two solo) in another key outing, showcasing his data-driven instincts and relentless coverage skills. Beyond stats, Coley’s differentiators include his farm-forged intensity—growing up on a Southeast Missouri family farm since the late 1970s (per his father’s legacy)—and a personality marked by quiet leadership and explosive tackling. He has no known injury history, maintains peak intensity levels, and is a natural fit for teams prioritizing disciplined, high-energy safeties who read plays like a coach. Why care? Coley combines stat-leader precision with raw, unteachable grit, making him a top-tier safety for any competitive roster.
