Tim Brandt brings proven playmaking and captain-level toughness to UMass linebacker room
Brandt’s value is his production-and-impact profile: UMass lists him with 263 career tackles, 16 sacks, seven forced fumbles, eight fumble recoveries, four interceptions, and four defensive touchdowns, plus senior-captain experience in football, wrestling, and lacrosse—an indicator of edge, durability, and competitiveness that box-score stats only hint at.[1] For a team, he fits as a high-motor linebacker who can create negative plays and momentum-shifting turnovers, not just clean up tackles.[1]
