Tay Carothers brings veteran, physically mature linebacker depth to Murray State
In the 2020 season, Tay Carothers finished third on Murray State with 32 tackles and added two pass breakups, a solid snapshot of a linebacker who plays with active hands and dependable pursuit. At 6-1 and 231 pounds, he has the frame to take on blocks and the experience to fit the run without looking lost in traffic. He also brings a gritty backstory—he sat out a year due to injury before carving out snaps—so the appeal here is steadiness, toughness, and role-player reliability more than flashy stat lines.
