Tulsa’s steady, local guard with senior savvy and walk-on grit
In the 2015-16 season, Tulsa guard Nick Wood was a senior walk-on who brought veteran depth, local pride, and low-drama reliability to the Golden Hurricane roster.[1][2] He appeared in five games with one start and scored Tulsa’s first basket in his Senior Day start against USF, a nice little “earned it the hard way” moment.[1] The appeal is less flash than fit: a 6-foot-1 guard from Cascia Hall who understood the program, accepted a role, and provided dependable team-first minutes.[1][2] If your team wants toughness, maturity, and a culture fit, Wood is the kind of roster glue coaches love.[1][2]
