seasoned Rhode Island leg with steady, reliable value
Connor McHugh is a battle-tested Rhode Island kicker/punter whose calling card is consistency and field-position value. In Rhode Island’s 2015 season notes, he was listed with 4,911 career punting yards, a 36.9-yard career average, and eighth place on the program’s all-time punting list—clear signs of a dependable specialist who could flip the field without drama. That kind of proven leg strength, plus long-term production, makes him the sort of quietly useful player coaches love when they want stability in the kicking game.
