EWU’s Veteran OL Coach & Former Star Center
Jase Butorac is not a current player but Eastern Washington’s seasoned Offensive Line/Academic Coordinator, having served as OL coach for six seasons (2017–2022) after being a former Eagle center. His differentiator lies in his dual role: he mentors elite linemen with the intensity of a former Big Sky Offensive MVP while managing academic success for the team. Though he left EWU in 2022 (replaced by Mace), his legacy as a player-coach hybrid—known for relentless preparation and mentorship—makes him a high-fit candidate for any program valuing leadership, discipline, and holistic athlete development. You should care because he bridges on-field excellence with off-field accountability, a rare combo in college football.
