Experienced Two-Way Guard With Defensive Pop
Nia Roberts brings veteran guard value, with a track record of scoring, playmaking, and activity on defense; in her 2017-18 season at Newman, she averaged 7.7 points, 1.7 rebounds, 1.7 assists, and 19 steals while starting 28 of 29 games[1]. Her differentiator is versatility: she has shown she can handle the ball, stretch the floor, and make disruptive plays, and older coverage also notes she has been impactful defensively when healthy[10]. For a Texas Southern fit, she profiles as a steady, defense-minded backcourt piece who can add experience and toughness.
