Melissa Reed brings two-way upside to Stony Brook’s circle and corner infield
Reed looks like a useful roster-fit because she arrives with proven two-way value: Stony Brook listed her as a pitcher/first baseman, and her prep bio says she served as a team captain while posting a 3.58 ERA with 67 strikeouts in 101.2 innings at Dana Hills. In the circle, that profile suggests competitiveness and innings stability more than flashy, overpowering dominance, while her ability to contribute at first base adds lineup flexibility. For a team that values versatility, leadership, and a steady competitor, Reed is the kind of player who can help in multiple ways rather than just one.
