Deep-bench guard with leadership DNA and limited game action
David Lipscomb is a 6-foot-2 redshirt sophomore guard for St. John’s, but his current on-court impact has been very limited; the program bio notes he appeared in five games with one start and logged a career-high 15 minutes against Virginia in the 2025 NIT[1]. What makes him interesting is the intangibles package: a former high-school captain, leadership award winner, and point guard by trade, he brings composure, coachability, and feel rather than headline stats[1]. If you need a low-drama, high-IQ backcourt piece, he fits; if you need immediate production, he’s more developmental depth than difference-maker right now[1].
