Bethune-Cookman’s steady interior presence with classic backdoor touch
Danetta Simpson was a 6'1" center for Bethune-Cookman, and the available game notes show a reliable interior scorer who finished around the rim in the 2004-05 and 2005-06 seasons, including backdoor layups and efficient short-range production. Her value was more about timing, positioning, and working within the offense than piling up flashy numbers, which can make her a strong fit for a team that wants a disciplined post player who understands spacing and cuts. The historical record here is limited, so current 2026 performance, rankings, and recent opinions aren’t available from the sources gathered.
