Blaize Ward’s freshman bat flashed big-time for Mizzou
Ward was one of Missouri’s most intriguing 2026 freshman bats, pairing a team-best on-base presence with a knack for clutch contact and gap power. In the 2026 season, he hit .296 overall with four home runs, 33 RBI and a .404 OBP, then stepped up even more in SEC play with a .323 average and a .421 slugging mark; later reports also noted just a 15% strikeout rate and a move to Vanderbilt, which hints at a hitter who controls the zone and should keep climbing. If you want a tough, productive infielder with real upside, he’s worth a hard look.
