Malik Reed brings a special-teams first, downhill LB profile to Arizona
In the 2021 season, Malik Reed flashed when called upon, posting eight tackles in the Territorial Cup and tying for the team lead, then in 2022 he appeared in one game mainly on special teams without recording a stat[1]. His value is the classic linebacker grit package: physical, assignment-sound, and willing to do the dirty work while waiting for a bigger defensive role[1][7]. If you want a depth linebacker who can help on coverage units and has shown he can pop in a rivalry game, Reed is worth a look[1][7].
