Ponce James is Delaware State’s engine, not just its guard
In the 2025-26 season, Ponce James emerged as Delaware State’s leading scorer and primary creator, averaging 13.6 points, 3.4 assists, 2.9 rebounds, and 1.9 steals in 27 games while logging heavy minutes and serving as a preseason All-MEAC First Team selection. The fit is obvious: he brings shot-creation, point-of-attack pressure, and a knack for timely buckets, including a buzzer-beater against Kean. He’s still a work in progress as a scorer efficiency-wise, but the intensity, two-way activity, and late-game poise make him a legit difference-maker.
