Columbia’s Augie Williams brings veteran back-end versatility and tackling reliability
Augie Williams is a senior defensive back/linebacker-type presence for Columbia who profiles as a dependable, physical defender with proven production; Columbia lists him at 5-11, 207, and ESPN identifies him as a defensive back, while the roster notes strong tackle totals and an interception return in prior seasons[5][8]. For a team, the appeal is a mature, multi-role defender who likely helps most with run support, coverage intelligence, and consistency rather than flashy splash plays.
