Howard safety Julien David brings veteran presence and preseason respect
Julien David stands out as an experienced Howard safety who earned MEAC preseason First Team recognition, signaling that coaches viewed him as one of the conference’s top defensive backs. Listed at 5-foot-11 and 195 pounds, he profiles as a sturdy, physical back who can handle run support and bring steady leadership to the secondary. The key reason to care: he looks like a proven, high-floor defensive piece rather than a pure projection, which makes him attractive for a team that values reliability, toughness, and veteran instincts in the back end.[2][3]
