Experienced Hoyas TE who brought size, steadiness, and veteran depth
In the 2017 season, Jacob Sweitzer was a 6-foot-4, 240-pound senior tight end for Georgetown who appeared in all 11 games and gave the Hoyas a reliable, experienced presence at the position.[1][3] His value was less about flashy numbers and more about durability, positional familiarity, and depth — he had also caught passes the year before and entered that season as part of a veteran tight end group.[3][7] If a roster wants a steady, in-the-rotation TE who can handle the grind and knows the system, Sweitzer fits the “quietly useful” mold nicely.[1][7]
