Drake Douglas brings left-handed impact and two-way versatility to UAB
Douglas is a transfer outfielder/right-hander who profiles as a useful lineup piece because he already showed real bat-to-ball and on-base ability at Northeast Mississippi in 2025, hitting .347 with a .481 OBP and .582 slugging in 33 games. He also has a championship-tested background from Saltillo, where he was the shutdown arm in the 2021 Mississippi 5A title run, suggesting poise in pressure spots. His biggest differentiator is versatility: a left-handed bat with outfield and pitching options, plus a lean, projectable frame that could still develop with added strength.
