Akron Zips QB with Proven Dual-Threat Pedigree from GLVC Standout
Robbie Kelley, Akron Zips quarterback, flashed elite arm talent as a redshirt sophomore in 2016 at Quincy University, throwing for 2,701 yards on 185-of-319 passing (58%) while earning Second-Team All-GLVC honors—highlighting his accuracy, poise under pressure, and starter-ready command that differentiates him from raw recruits. His transfer to Akron positions him as a gritty competitor with NFL bloodlines (cousin Rob Kelley, ex-Tulane/NFL RB), bringing intensity and leadership ideal for teams needing a mobile, high-IQ signal-caller to elevate offenses; watch for breakout potential in 2026 if he secures the starting nod.
