Travis Nelson brings rim protection and steady scoring punch for Wyoming
Nelson profiles as a dependable interior piece who can score efficiently and anchor the paint with shot-blocking, making him a useful fit for teams that value size, physicality, and low-drama production. Available stat profiles show him around 10.1 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks per game in one season snapshot, while his earlier Minnesota State run featured a stronger 13.9 points and 5.6 rebounds per game across 35 games, which suggests he can scale up when given a bigger role. He also carries some personal adversity after the loss of his brother Josh in 2016, a context that speaks to resilience and perspective.
