Iowa State RB with promise, but limited current impact
Tyease Thompson is listed as an Iowa State running back, but the publicly available roster and news trail show almost no current on-field production to evaluate in the 2026 cycle. The upside case is mainly about depth and profile rather than a stat-stuffing résumé, with Iowa State’s official roster listing him at 5-10, 180 as a freshman-style developmental back. The caveat: his name also appears in older team-discipline reporting, so fit depends on whether a staff wants a low-profile project who can earn trust, stay composed, and carve out a role without immediate box-score fireworks.
