USC Upstate's Double-Double Dominator and Rebounding Machine
Michael Buchanan, USC Upstate's senior center, stands out as a rebounding beast, notching 19 career double-doubles including 24 pts/15 reb vs NJIT and 12/12 at UMKC in 2016, earning multiple ASUN Player of the Week honors and 2015-16 Second Team All-Conference; his post dominance (58% FG career), 11 offensive boards in a single week, and Crossfit-fueled athleticism for a big man make him a gritty, high-motor fit for teams needing blue-collar rebounding and scoring punch inside—perfect for mid-major or low-major programs chasing conference titles.
