Experienced Furman edge rusher with proven production
Jay Jay Mars is a veteran Furman defensive end whose value has come from steady, assignment-sound play and real backfield disruption. In the 2007 season, he finished with 12 total tackles and 1 tackle for loss, and earlier Furman stat pages show he contributed across multiple seasons as a dependable rotation piece[1][2]. His differentiator is reliability: a physical edge presence who has shown he can hold the point, fit the run, and keep doing the dirty work without needing the spotlight. For a team needing toughness and continuity up front, that’s a useful kind of grown-man football.
