Virginia’s clutch, all-around scoring guard
Telisha Quarles was a high-impact guard for Virginia, finishing her Cavaliers career with 1,323 points, 187 made threes, and 181 steals while leading the team at 15.7 points per game in her final season. In the 2002 season, she earned All-ACC second-team and all-tournament recognition, which fits the profile of a dependable shot-maker who also created havoc defensively. The big reason to care: she brought veteran poise, perimeter scoring, and pressure defense—exactly the kind of two-way guard who raises a team’s floor and can close games.
