Elite Guard for Akron’s 26–5 MAC Dominators
Marquelle McIntyre, a guard for the Akron Zips, is a key contributor to a team that finished the 2024–25 regular season with a 26–5 record and a 17–1 MAC mark, securing second place in the conference. His differentiators include sharp court vision, consistent perimeter scoring, and the intensity that fueled Akron’s 34–2 conference record over two seasons—the best two-year span in MAC history. While specific stat leaders data for McIntyre isn’t publicly detailed in available sources, his role on a team that lost only to the unbeaten, 20th-ranked Miami suggests he thrives under pressure and fits high-stakes environments. No reported injury history limits concerns, and his fit for a team seeking reliable, battle-tested guards is strong.
