the UTRGV guard with a veteran edge and local-roster mystery
Dwayne Gutridge is listed by UTRGV as a guard on its men’s basketball roster, but the available public material surfaced here mostly points to an older 2010-11 roster listing rather than current-season production, so there isn’t enough verified stat-line evidence to call him a proven impact player yet. What stands out is the profile: a compact guard build, a New Jersey background, and a roster presence at a Division I program that suggests developmental value, quickness, and backcourt depth potential. If you need a low-ego guard who can compete for minutes and grow into a role, he’s at least worth a closer look.
