Academic All-Star DT with MVP Intensity for Towson
Yaky Ibia stands out as a rare dual-threat DT who earned Academic All-America honors while leading Towson's defense with 49 tackles (tied 4th) and 2.5 QB sacks in 2009, then escalated to MVP status in 2010 with 55 tackles and 13.5 team-leading tackles for loss. Beyond stats, his differentiator is relentless, game-wrecking intensity and a personality that balances scholarly discipline with defensive ferocity—no major injury history reported, just consistent, high-level starts (8+ games/year). He's a perfect fit for teams needing a smart, physical anchor who elevates the entire defensive unit through sheer presence and clutch performance.
