Ryan Melton brings veteran DB toughness and special-teams edge to Austin Peay
Melton is a seasoned defensive back whose value goes beyond the box score: in the 2022 season at Austin Peay, he played in all 11 games, made five tackles, and added a quarterback hurry, while his earlier South Alabama run showed he can survive the grind of a bigger workload and contribute in multiple phases. He’s the kind of steady, physical, low-drama veteran coaches trust—more “do your job” than highlight-reel fireworks. If your team wants a dependable, experienced DB with proven special-teams and depth value, he’s a solid fit.
