veteran Saint Mary’s guard with a trusted, team-first profile
McCaughey is a Saint Mary’s guard whose value shows up in the program’s all-time roster and career-stat tracking, but the publicly available sources do not show recent game-by-game production, so his current on-court impact is hard to quantify from the provided data alone.[1][4][5] The differentiator is fit: Saint Mary’s has historically valued disciplined, system-oriented guards, and McCaughey’s profile fits that mold as a steady, low-drama backcourt piece rather than a headline-chasing scorer.[4][8] If you need a reliable guard who understands structure and can blend into a well-coached environment, he reads as a strong culture fit; if you need a high-usage creator, the available evidence does not support that projection.[1][5]
