Baylor OL Thad Boatner brings size, versatility, and veteran resilience
Boatner is a 6-7, 292-pound Baylor offensive lineman whose best selling points are length, position flexibility, and perseverance after a knee injury cost him most of the 2007 fall camp and the first six games of the season; he still returned to play in the final stretch and logged a career-high 69 snaps against Texas Tech, which is the kind of toughness coaches trust in the trenches. He also earned First-Team Academic All-Big 12 honors, suggesting a dependable, high-IQ fit for a system that values steadiness and assignment soundness over flash.[1][3]
