CJ Thompson’s Yale run: experienced WR with a portal twist
CJ Thompson is an experienced Yale wide receiver whose resume shows he’s been a depth piece, a first-catch contributor, and a player with enough versatility to keep earning opportunities. Yale’s roster history lists him at 6-foot-1 to 6-foot-2 and around 179-186 pounds, and the key stat takeaway is simple: he made his first career catch in 2022 and was still listed on Yale’s 2023 roster before a portal note indicated he entered the transfer portal with two years remaining. He looks like a reliable, mature fit for a program needing size, experience, and steady development rather than pure flash.
