Cooper Smith brings veteran bat, versatility, and proven on-base punch to George Mason
In the 2025 season at Tufts, Cooper Smith hit .331/.403/.395 with 41 hits and 21 RBIs in 32 games, and he entered George Mason as a graduate transfer with outfield experience and a first-base/OF profile[1]. He also brings intangibles that matter: a three-time Dean’s List student and a veteran winner who helped Tufts finish third in the 2023 Division III College World Series[1]. That combination of contact ability, defensive flexibility, and steady, high-IQ presence makes him a smart fit for a program looking for a reliable, mature contributor[1][3].
