Larry Abare brings veteran, downhill safety play to Yale
In the 2009 season, Yale listed Larry Abare as a senior DB/strong safety who was second on the team with 73 tackles, earned second-team All-Ivy honors, and was repeatedly described as a high-passion, coach-friendly leader on the defense.[1][2][3] His calling card is physical, dependable play near the line of scrimmage, and his toughness showed through injuries too—he returned after a season-ending knee injury in 2007 and later played with a cast after breaking his arm in 2009.[3][4][5]
