Yankees Draft Pick David Leslie Brings Power-Arm, Big-Game Poise to Pitt
In the 2026 season, Pitt right-hander David Leslie gave the Panthers a durable, strikeout-heavy arm: 75 Ks in 65 innings, four wins, one save, and a standout run through the ACC Tournament that helped Pitt reach the semifinals. He arrived as a former Division-III All-American after a 2025 season at Grove City where he went 9-2 with a 2.05 ERA and 84 strikeouts, so the upside is real. The hook? He’s a competitive, proven starter who already showed he can rise when the stakes spike—and MLB teams noticed, drafting him in the ninth round.
