Drew McGowan brings gritty defense and timely contact to Marist behind the plate
In the 2025 season, Marist catcher Drew McGowan appeared in 13 games and started six, hitting .231 with a .355 on-base percentage while posting a .982 fielding percentage, a solid early sign of everyday-catcher reliability. He showed a knack for contributing in key spots, including RBI work in Marist’s 2026 conference slate, and his profile suggests a backstop who can handle the staff, stay composed, and make the routine play. If you want steady defense with some on-base upside, he’s worth a look.
