Western Carolina’s experienced DB with a pro-style defensive profile
Ben Watkins is a Western Carolina defensive back whose value is in experience, positional continuity, and a dependable, college-tested profile rather than flashy box-score production. The available roster data shows him listed as a DB at Western Carolina, and he’s a former student-athlete from the program, which points to familiarity with the Catamounts’ defensive culture and expectations.[1][7][17] For a team looking for a steady, fit-first back-end defender who can learn quickly and play within structure, Watkins is the kind of player who earns trust through reliability and football IQ more than headline numbers.[1][7]
