veteran Akron defensive lineman with academic grit and proven program fit
Jason Wiggins has the kind of background that coaches love: a disciplined, team-first defender who earned First Team Academic All-MAC honors in 1999 and 2000 during his Akron career, and later turned into a long-time high school defensive line coach known for developing tough linemen. His best differentiators are reliability, football IQ, and a no-drama, hard-nosed style that fits a physical defense. The tradeoff: there’s no current on-field 2026 production available here, so this is more of a culture-and-character read than a stat-line eval.
