defense-first guard with USF roots and real coaching IQ
Jen Sepielli is a former USF guard whose playing background and current coaching work point to a high-IQ, defense-minded point guard profile rather than a stat-stuffing one. The most reliable recent coverage highlights her as a former standout at Hillsborough Community College and South Florida, and as the creator of Defense On A String, a training tool built around connected, high-energy team defense[1][4][5]. That suggests her differentiators are toughness, communication, and a strong feel for structure—good fit material for a team that values pace control, accountability, and gritty lead-guard instincts over flash.
