veteran Liberty safety with proven tackling production and playmaking instincts
Scruggs is a steady, physical Liberty safety who has already shown real production, including 58 tackles in 12 games with 11 starts in the 2022 season and a career profile built on toughness, ball disruption, and reliability. He brings the kind of back-end experience coaches like because he has been on the field, handled an injury setback, and kept earning snaps, which suggests trust and resilience. If you want a safety who can tackle, read the game quickly, and fit a disciplined defensive role, he looks like a solid, no-drama add.
