Laprel Boyd brings veteran DB production and ball-hawking instincts to UAPB
Laprel Boyd is a veteran Arkansas-Pine Bluff defensive back who has shown real playmaking juice, including 2 interceptions in the 2023 season and 28 total tackles with 7 assists in 2024, plus a knack for forcing turnovers and making the first hit matter. The appeal is his experience, versatility, and high-motor feel in the secondary—he looks like a DB who plays with edge, confidence, and enough instincts to help stabilize a defense. If a team wants a seasoned, physical back-end defender with proven turnover impact, Boyd is worth a serious look.
