veteran YSU guard with a reputation for grit and brains
Mike Podolsky was a senior guard for Youngstown State in the 2013-14 season, known more for reliability, defense, and intangibles than big-volume scoring; he averaged 0.5 points and 1.0 rebounds per game in 2012-13 while appearing in 16 games, and his profile also shows strong academics and community-minded recognition. He looks like the kind of player coaches trust for effort, discipline, and locker-room steadiness rather than headline stats — a glue guy who can raise the floor of a roster and bring maturity, but not a primary offensive engine.
