Jayla Everett remains St. John’s shot-maker and late-game problem solver
Everett is a seasoned 5-foot-10 guard and redshirt senior for St. John’s who has long been valued for her perimeter scoring, clutch shot-making, and poise under pressure. In the 2022-23 season, she averaged 16.0 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 2.7 assists while shooting 43.1% from three, and her game-winner against Purdue showed she can swing big moments. She’s the kind of guard a coach trusts when the possession gets messy: tough, experienced, and comfortable carrying an offense from the arc.
