Rodney Smith brings dependable run support and steady presence for Norfolk State
Smith is a **linebacker** who appeared in **all 12 games** and finished with **nine tackles** in the most recent Norfolk State roster information available, suggesting a role built on reliability and assignment discipline more than headline stats[5]. That kind of profile can be valuable for teams that want a low-mistake defender who shows up weekly, stays available, and adds depth with consistency[5]. The main differentiator is his availability and durability; the limitation is that the available public data does not show standout production, so he projects more as a dependable rotational fit than a stat-sheet star[5].
