East Carolina LB Melvin Patterson brings prep production, but current college role is unclear
Melvin Patterson is listed as an East Carolina football player, but the available public profiles are inconsistent about his position and do not show meaningful college stat production, so the safest read is that he is still more of a developmental piece than a proven on-field difference-maker. His recruiting-era profile points to a high-motor, multi-sport athlete with a productive prep résumé, which suggests upside if he translates that competitiveness and physicality to linebacker. If your team wants immediate production, there is not enough verified evidence yet; if you want a potential depth add with growth traits, he is the kind of player worth monitoring.
