Big-bodied righty with command-based upside for NKU
French is a 6-foot-1, 210-pound right-handed pitcher whose appeal is built on projection, strike-throwing feel, and a heavier frame that suggests durability; in college action for Northern Kentucky in 2025, he made seven appearances over 5.2 innings with a 9.52 ERA and three strikeouts, so the statistical line is still a work in progress, but his high school résumé included two no-hitters and recruiting reports noted solid fastball life and advanced ability to locate. He looks like a developmental fit for a staff that values size, command, and long-term upside.
