Western Carolina’s quiet special-teams weapon
Neville Hayes is best viewed as a specialist whose value lives in the margins: dependable kickoff work, special-teams utility, and the kind of role that can tilt field position even when he’s not in the spotlight. The recent available game log shows him handling multiple kickoffs for Western Carolina, which suggests a trusted leg rather than a flash-only profile[1]. For a team, that means upside if the need is consistency, composure, and hidden-yardage value; the question is less about raw star power and more about whether you want a steady kicking piece who can keep the operation clean when pressure shows up.
