Steve Polizzi’s power bat gave Saint Peter’s a real jolt in 2026
In the 2026 season, Saint Peter’s catcher Steve Polizzi emerged as a rookie impact bat, earning MAAC All-Rookie honors after posting 44 hits, 27 RBIs, 8 home runs, a .275 average, and a .378 on-base percentage. He showed real middle-of-the-order juice, including a stretch with homers in five straight games, and he also drew 25 walks, which suggests a hitter who can work counts rather than just swing for the fences. If your team wants a catch-and-hit player with pop, patience, and growing upside, he’s worth a close look.
