Mason Schubert brings local buzz, dual-threat production, and walk-on upside to Oklahoma State
Schubert is a true freshman quarterback at Oklahoma State who arrives with a strong high-school resume: in 2024 at Stillwater, he threw for 1,887 yards, 26 touchdowns, and only 3 interceptions while also adding 307 rushing yards and 8 rushing scores. His appeal is his efficiency, mobility, and experience as a productive leader in a 9-3 playoff team, plus the intangibles of being a hometown walk-on who already knows the program’s environment. He looks more like a developmental fit than an immediate star, but the arm talent, poise, and dual-threat value make him a reasonable depth add with upside.
