Coastal Carolina’s record-setting, dual-threat QB with big-game polish
Alex Ross was a two-time all-conference quarterback and the 2014 Big South Offensive Player of the Year at Coastal Carolina, finishing his college career as the school’s all-time leader in passing yards, completions, attempts, and touchdowns. In the 2015 season, he was also an Academic All-America selection and finished with 2,594 passing yards and 18 passing touchdowns, showing he could beat defenses both with efficiency and toughness. What makes him stand out is the combination of production, mobility, and leader vibe: he wasn’t just a thrower, he was a tone-setter who added value on the ground and delivered in high-leverage moments.
