Reggie Evans was an Iowa rebounding wrecking ball
In the 2001-02 season, Reggie Evans was still the kind of frontcourt menace coaches love: a relentless rebounder, physical defender, and low-ego workhorse who turned possessions into pain for opponents. At Iowa, he averaged 15.1 points and 11.9 rebounds in the 2000-01 season, then 15.4 points and 11.6 rebounds in 2001-02, and he led the nation in rebounding and double-doubles, plus earned All-Big Ten and Big Ten Tournament MVP honors. If you want toughness, glass-crashing, and pure motor, he’s your guy.
