Old Dominion’s Chris Smith brings beef, disruption, and reliable trench energy
Chris Smith is the kind of defensive tackle coaches love: compact, physical, and built to eat blocks so linebackers can hunt. In ODU’s program notes, he was a senior who led all defensive linemen with 39 tackles and also paced the group with 6.5 tackles for loss, showing he can hold the point and make plays behind the line. That profile says “steady interior anchor” more than flashy stat-sheet star, but that’s exactly why he matters. If your team wants toughness, effort, and line-of-scrimmage disruption, Smith looks like a fit.
